Interim Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sandra Huning

Dr. Sandra Huning is an urban planner with a diploma from Dortmund University, a doctorate from Berlin University of Technology and a habilitation from TU Dortmund University. Between 2022–2024, she holds the chair of urban planning at Bauhaus University Weimar, Faculty Architecture and Urbanism, as substitute for Prof. Dr. Schönig. Sandra’s research topics include gender, feminism and planning; participation and coproduction; and the role of planning in socio-environmental transformations. Currently she is involved in the inter- and transdisciplinary research project LoKoNet on emotions in planning conflicts and their role in both conflict escalation and solution, funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Sandra is also interested in rethinking urban planning from the perspective of social reproduction.
